PCT day 92 - mile 2091 to mile 2119 (Timberline Lodge, Ramona Falls)

"I can't thru hike the PCT because I have too many kids" Will.

Today was a bit of a rollercoaster, it all started according to plan I hiked seven miles to Timberline Lodge right in time for breakfast buffet. Then I sat down with Quicksilver, Sonic and Watts and we had rightfully praised metric tonne of food consisting of fresh fruit, smoked salmon, ham hock, scrambled eggs, waffles with whipped cream and maple syrup, sausages, bagels, crossaints.. (the list goes on, don't know why I decided to list all of the above, but it was all delicious). We sat there for two hours or the entire length of buffet having many plates of it. It was honestly heaven on earth. The building itself was stunning as well, built in 1936 all wooden and full of history - it is definitely one of the main manmade highlights of the trail for me.

Soon after more familiar faces started to arrive, Fomo and Lucky, Ravi and Sunrise which I haven't seen since Lake Tahoe finally caught up! Tik Tok and Tank Top showed up briefly, it felt quite special reuniting with everyone in this amazing building. Fomo told me that one of Tank Tops cousins will be organising trail magic at Lolo Pass trailhead 18 miles away, I wasn't sure if I can make it that far after the huge breakfast which almost sent me to a food coma but I promised I'll do my best.

I went back on trail just before 1pm and it was fairly easy going for the most part except for one steep climb. I actually managed to arrive at Lolo Pass trailhead just before 7pm and it was well worth it. We had some food and beers, other than Tank Top, Fomo and Lucky few other hikers came down: Starburst and Sugar with their extremely friendly, adopted dog Truman who made it here all the way from Mexican border and JoJo who recorded our interviews for his youtube channel but we probably won't ever find them, it was fun nevertheless.

After about an hour Fomo and Lucky decided to push another four miles! and I joined them even though it was completely uncharacteristic for me to hike that late, we ended up walking well past 9pm, the advantage of it being that we can have an easier day tomorrow and arrive at the Cascade Locks in the evening, where Tank Top has arranged an accomodation for us with a trail angel.

Oh I also took an alternative route leading through Ramona Falls in the afternoon, very scenic and Middle-earth like. On an uneventful day it would take a bigger chunk of the write up but on the day like this it shall remain memorable side note.
