PCT Day 57 - mile 1157 to mile 1179
"No alarms and no surprises please" Radiohead. Today was as positively uneventful and steady as most of the days should be, no gusts of winds, torrential rains and sliding rocks, just the good old hiking in the sun. I left my hostel bunk bed at 7am with package addressed for UK lall sealed and ready to be posted, but I decided to go to UPS outlet instead of regular post office as it had way better reviews and there was a McDonalds on its way (sausage and egg mcmuffin ftw). There was a free bus going towards the PCT leaving just from the front of the UPS store at 8:52 and since the place opened at 8:30 and I was first in the queue I thought it will give me enough time to board it. Bus would take me just few miles away lfrom trail and hitching from there should have been easy.
