This actually where the whole urban exploration fascination first started and still remained like a Rome for us (all roads lead to Rome, innit? :) It's a great biulding, even though gets more smashed every time i visit. Monstfur Częstochowa's acclaimed street artist added this extra bit of character to it, and it's eve documented - i highly recommend to watch it - Wełnopolish . history: Built in 1887 as a part of the "Peltzer & Sons" company. Later taken over by a Frech joint-stock company "Societe Anonyme de la Industrie Textile". During World War II it was bought by Hugo Schneider and used as an ammunition factory employing mainly Jews from Częstochowa's little ghetto. The name "Wełnopol" was used for the first time in 1970.
