PCT day 15 - mile 266 to mile 285

"I went out of the tent in the morning to do my business, found a perfect spot so I'm digging a hole with the trowel.. and there was already shit in it" Tom. The night was cold, in fact that might have been the coldest night I had since starting PCT and it was indoors.. Kenny said before breakfast that if we won't stop talking about it, we will eat outside.. rude?! The breakfast was as promised though big and tasty. We had fruit salad, gammon, fried potatoes with onion and peppers (which I particularly liked), scrambled eggs and French toast with maple syrup. After everyone has finished, Kenny started to ship people back to the trail, town or post office wherever they wanted to go. I missed the first transport (no idea how) but managed to get on the second one and I was back on trail by 10:30. It was smooth sailing today and despite late start myself and a lot of people starting with me or later, managed to do ye olde 20 miles. We pitched tents at the "Little Bea...

PCT day 14 - mile 256 to mile 266 (Big Bear)

"You guys are lucky that my wife left me ten years ago, otherwise non of this would be happening" Kenny. "I'm a Trump supporter, but I leave it outside the house" Kenny. Today we walked ten remaining miles to Big Bear to have a NERO day. We waited for Kenny our host for the day, for about an hour as when we arrived at the crossroads he was at the Sunday mass. We both knew Kenny was Donald Trump sider, so we anticipated an American flag outside the house, but what we saw outgrew our wildest expectations. What's even more interesting Kenny turned out to be a genuinely nice person, his rule was to never turn away a hiker, so we have sixteen people sleeping here with us tonight. There's air mattresses set up in every room, Kenny's dogs are running around, washing machine and tumble dryer are working in constant loop. Everything in the fridge without someone's name on it can be consumed, no washing up necessary and the list goes on. After arriving at ...
