PCT day 91 - mile 2055 to mile 2091
Today had some of the crusiest walking stretches on the entire PCT. It was a mixture of low elevation, shade, soft forest floor and lack of snow that constituted it.
Walking long and fast didn't help my photography so pictures today are quite average, it was mostly walking through the green corridor, so not much scenery variance at all.
Aim for tomorrow is to reach Timberline Lodge a local ski resort featured in Stanley Kubrick's movie 'Shining' in time for breakfast, I got just under seven miles to hike there but it's all a steep uphill section. I might even stay over for the lunch as apparently food here is considered the best on the entire PCT, it's 25$ per buffet style meal.
Around midday I met two section hikers from Portland and they both offered me a place to stay if I decide to come over to Portland which makes it even more likely now! Thank you Gnarly and Sketch. Gnarly hiked the PCT last year and will be volunteering at the 'Trail Days' in Cascade Locks fifty miles up the road which will be happening next month, I'm also considering going if everything will go according to plan.
I ended up setting the tent in random unmarked spot located as close to the lodge as I could push it. It's not perfectly levelled but it was the best I could find at the last moment on top of the hill.
