On the Road

Today is the day my approach towards PCT begins. Every little twist and turn I expect something to go wrong, will the bus be late? my visa get rejected? I will forget to fill this or that form? meatballs will fall from the sky? So far everything is going good, I'm seating on the plane to Copenhagen, where I will spend the night awaiting for morning connection flight to Los Angeles (11 hours long flight, yeezus!) Plan from there is as follows:

- one jet lag day (I will be there around midday sponsored by the time difference) where I will try to sort out a water bottle to fit my water filter, as I wrongly assumed the filter will fit any smart water bottle (nope) I'm kind of still hoping American bottles have different threads to European ones and it will fit! Also a gas canister and matches shall be purchased as I didn't dare to put it in my baggage in case it would be "illegal" and it would get me deported. If mission will be successful I'll probably eat something and crash in bed - I've booked "The Rumi" hostel, cheapest LA has to offer, bunk beds and smelly feet, with decent reviews and good location, in a walking distance to Union Station, where I'm planning to catch the train to San Diego on Sunday.

- day two and three (Friday and Saturday) are here to explore Los Angeles, with main attraction being "That's all folks" grave and Hollywood sign, I'm not planning to spend much on attractions, but perhaps a bus tour of the city would be nice - I'll probably just mix and match those two days, REI hiking shop is next to St Barbara beach, so that's a good enough reason to go there as well.

Tired - yes, excited - not until I actually land there, mix of other emotions - absofuckinglutely.

It's been a long day with many people talking gibberish on public transport and I had to listen to it, as I'm afraid of using too much battery on my phone so I can write this here nonsens.

Life is good.
