SNT (day 15) - Loch Gleann na Muice to Ullapool (Cape Wrath Trail)

Very good day of hiking and I managed to reach one of the last and biggest resupply points before reaching Cape Wrath, Ullapool.

I had a bit later start as I thought I won't be finishing at Ullapool but as day progressed it seemed more and more likely. The terrain wasn't too difficult and the weather was exceptionally good.

Halfway through the day I met Ivana, a middle-aged lady from Czechia, she was finishing her Cape Wrath Trail she started last year, she shared with me some tips and tricks for the trail ahead (she has done that section already) and told me about very upsetting incident that happened to her last year, she was hiking with another person, it was very rainy and after they split to tackle the trail differently they been both crossing a dangerous river in two different places, she got a message two days later from her friend that the guy has drowned while crossing the river, a horrible accident and memory to behold.

It was Ivana's last day on Cape Wrath trail and she was looking forward to starting another one in Slovakia, she asked me to say hello to Johnny, a lighthouse keeper at Cape Wrath, she said he will remember her.

Ten miles later I managed to catch my first hitchhike to Ullapool which was ten miles down the road, with Andrew from London who moved here because he loved hiking and running in the mountains. He gave me a lift to a local Tesco and shared few tips about the town. Here after having Tesco's meal deal I went to my hostel, which unfortunately I've booked for tomorrow and for a ridiculous £120 for a bunk bed as booking.com wouldn't allow me to book a single bed. After a conversation with Fae at the hostel she not only managed to change my booking for tonight but also returned £80 extra I've paid through the website, an absolute angel, I was so relieved that I won't have to wait for another day to have a shower and prepare for the next section of the trail.

I had a shower and went to town to have something to eat, I've chosen The Seafood Shack which Andrew recommended to me, it was really nice I went with a "haddock wrap" a local spin on fish and chips, it had salad and tartare sauce, it was very tasty.

My hostel room was full of English people for some reason, a father and son from Surrey on a bonding trip around Munro's, and two cyclists doing 500 miles round trip from Inverness around Scottish coast. Before I knew it, it was 9pm and well past my bedtime, I decided to finish my resupply tomorrow before heading back to trail. It was a very pleasant day overall.
